Technology based near-future sci-fi story of corporate greed and human need.

This week my stories are all tech science fiction and that tech is not really good for anyone. They are all inspired by the awesome Mr Tom Scott who put out a vid last week titled: 14 Science Fiction Stories in Under 6 Minutes. There he offered up sci-fi story ideas he can no longer use on his channel because he mostly posts factual science and engineering content and people get confused. I ran with the inspiration.
