The Horror of Shakespeare #1 - To Be or Not To Be

Fountain pen and script in the background with The Horror of Shakespeare and To Be or Not to Be over the top.

Every day in October I will be posting a horror/paranormal drabble (100 word story) inspired by a Shakespeare Quote. Of course, I had to start with the most obvious one.

To Be or Not To be

To be or not to be, or rather, to manifest or not to manifest—that was Miranda's conundrum. On the one hand it would be really fun to scare the mortals, on the other, ghost hunters were a pain in the proverbial.

The rules were very clear: frighten the mortals all you like, but never, under any circumstances, give them proof of life after death. It was bad enough a few of them took it seriously.

Of course, paranormal TV shows didn't count, because the mortals all believed they were staged anyway.

Miranda smiled—she was going to risk it.

If anyone would like to join in, please do!
