AtoZChallenge 2020 - Vampire Drabbles
Greetings one and all, and welcome to G day! Of course with a theme like vampire drabbles how could I not go with the word 'grave'? It called to me. This one is a little bit of a different take, however, I hope you enjoy it. #LGBTQ+
G is for Grave
Charlie placed the rose on the old grave.
"Goodbye, Cornelius … finally," she said before turning to the woman who had made this possible.
After 200 years of misery, it has taken a modern outlook, an extraordinary scientific brain and some supernaturally inventive, less-than-scientific surgical techniques, but Charlie was finally who she was supposed to be outside and in. No more body dysmorphia, no more torment.
"Are you alright?" Rosa asked.
"I am wonderful," she replied. "You have given me new life, now I will give you yours."
Rosa would make a wonderful vampire and together they would enjoy eternity.

DeleteI would have loved to be taller...may be another 5-6 inches then I would have qualified as model to do ramp walk! hahahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteJokes aside, its a difficult life, for those who have some physical shortcomings, a life with challenges that we able bodied can not fathom.

ReplyDeleteHa! A transgender vampire...I love it! Can you imagine the kind of ground-breaking science needed to accomplish such a feat. Clever idea.
ReplyDeleteA2Q: Hmm...the one thing I'd change about my physical self would be my vision. Not only would I want to see 20/20 (without corrective lenses), I'd want built-in night, heat-sensory, and x-ray vision added on. :P

I'd love to be a few inches taller, though I believe my Southern Italian body type saved my life when I was run over by a car in 2003. A taller, thinner person might've been thrown or crushed, while I had less distance to fall and more flesh to cushion the impact.

ReplyDeleteOther than the need to lose a little weight, I'm overall happy with myself the way I am. Oh, I guess if I had the money and I wasn't such a big scaredy Cathy then I'd love to have a tummy tuck. After three children and the ill effects of age the mid-section can use a lot of work. lol But, I'll just have to do the best I can through diet and exercise. There are no short cuts in life that don't come with a price. Elective cosmetic surgery is one of those things I fear might come consequences down the line if you get going on that path as I see it with celebrities who've had repeated procedures. They begin to not look like themselves after awhile. In my opinion in an unflattering way. Interesting questions.
